Words from a former LLH Board President ...

As a former Board President, there is a responsibility to speak openly and honestly about what is happening within the community. The speech that could not be delivered at the recent recall information meeting is being shared here.

This information was originally shared with board members only; however, it is now being shared publicly due to serious concerns: bylaws are not being properly followed by current board members and POA staff during the recall ballot process, and LLH’s actions appear to be contributing to harassment and intimidation of property owners.

The sole goal is to ensure transparency, fairness, and adherence to the governing rules that protect the entire community.

Statement for 10/27/2025 meeting

Grace Auten supports recalling the LLH officers because the board has repeatedly tried to reduce member voting power, pushed massive dues increases without proper approval, and created an atmosphere of intimidation, including texts involving Scott Carpenter that targeted her for speaking out. She argues that the recall ballot is not being conducted according to LLH bylaws and emphasizes that many owners signed the petition to restore accountability and protect member rights.
